It has been an eventful summer for Dissident! We wrapped up our summer speaking engagements this month and focused on vetting our new incoming cohort of dissident talent. We’re making selections now and are excited to share news about our growing roster in the weeks to come. Updates from August below!

Dissident Project at FreedomFest

North Korea dissident Grace Jo joined our team on a trip to Las Vegas for FreedomFest, a conference featuring hundreds of commentators, personalities, and business leaders to exchange pro-liberty ideas.

Gaby Visits the Reagan Foundation

Gaby Blanco finished off our summer speaking engagements with a talk on Cuba and the Castro regime for the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute. We’re thankful for the opportunity to share our message of liberty with high school students who came from all parts of the country.

Alexander Norton III

Alexander is the Program Manager for the Dissident Project, where he produces events that bring powerful, firsthand stories of life under authoritarian regimes to new audiences. He previously worked at National Review Institute and Leadership Institute. A Navy brat born in Japan and raised in Las Vegas, he now lives in Brooklyn, NY, where he continues the work to advance individual rights and freedom for all. Outside of work, he enjoys performing classical music, working out, and practicing foreign languages—now Tagalog.
