Yasmin Pacella

Yasmin Pacella is an Iranian-born scholar and artist in exile whose work examines how dissent survives and spreads under authoritarianism. She holds a PhD in Cultural, Literary and Linguistic Studies from the University of Miami, with a dissertation on the Woman, Life, Freedom movement and the digital art and activism it produced in defiance of the Islamic Republic.

Beyond academia, Yasmin reaches broad audiences through her Instagram (@onlineyas), where her vertical videos on the Iranian dissident experience draw six-figure views and spark debate well beyond her following. She has taught at the university level and co-founded the Iranian Association at the University of Miami.
