Dr. Yasamin Rezai Pacella (also known as Yasmin Pacella) is an Iranian-born scholar and artist in exile whose work examines how dissent survives and spreads under authoritarianism. She holds a PhD in Cultural, Literary and Linguistic Studies from the University of Miami, with a dissertation on the Woman, Life, Freedom movement and the digital art and activism it produced in defiance of the Islamic Republic.
Beyond academia, Dr. Rezai reaches broad audiences through her Instagram (@onlineyas), where her vertical videos on the Iranian dissident experience draw six-figure views and spark debate well beyond her following. She has taught at the university level and co-founded the Iranian Association at the University of Miami.
