Gabriela Puckett left Cuba as a teenager, lived in Spain, and later immigrated to the United States, where she built her academic and civic career. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in International Studies and plans to attend law school in the future.

Having experienced communism firsthand, she is outspoken about authoritarian ideology and is already engaged in speaking at high schools and universities, sharing her story and educating students on the impacts of authoritarian systems on freedom and opportunity through her own nonprofit, Youth For Liberty.
